Job Overview:

Duties:

• Negotiate a variety of business contracts, including software licenses, professional services, and technology agreements

• Identify legal risks and business issues within contracts

• Draft and review contract templates for firm-wide use

• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal policies

• Manage the contract review process from initiation to execution

• Track and organize contracts, ensuring efficient filing and accessibility

• Address legal considerations related to intellectual property, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, privacy, and technology licensing

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to streamline contract processes and mitigate risks

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation within a law firm or corporate legal department

• Strong understanding of contract negotiation principles within the legal industry

• Ability to handle multiple projects under strict deadlines

• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in New York, Illinois, or Washington, DC

Skills:

• Advanced contract negotiation and drafting expertise

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships
