The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter capable of handling a diverse caseload independently and as part of a team. Exceptional legal research and writing abilities are essential, along with the capability to manage deadlines and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and provide written and oral advice on complex legal issues.
  • Attend court appearances, hearings, and mediations as required.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Investigate facts and legal issues to assess the potential for claims.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic advice.
  • Assist in trial preparation and trial proceedings as needed.
  • Manage caseload independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Must be a current member of the California Bar in good standing.
  • 6-12 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proven trial experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and work efficiently under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
