Duties:

  • Engage in client communication, maintaining strong relationships, and understanding case specifics.
  • Conduct thorough legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions in support of case development.
  • Lead mediations and negotiations to drive favorable settlements.
  • Develop trial strategies and represent clients in court, including taking cases to jury trial.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including rules of evidence and civil procedure.
  • Collaborate with remote and local support staff to efficiently manage case workload.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.
  • Proven record of 1st chair jury trial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar.
  • Experience in drafting and responding to legal motions.
  • Ability to handle cases independently, from intake to resolution.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Alabama State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Alabama.
