The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of law firm experience in U.S. federal income tax matters. Excellent academic credentials and strong written and oral communication skills are required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-office tax and corporate transactional teams to provide integrated legal support.
  • Offer expert advice on U.S. federal income tax issues related to corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related agreements and documentation.
  • Perform comprehensive tax research and analysis to support corporate strategies and decisions.
  • Structure transactions to ensure tax efficiency and compliance with federal regulations.
  • Manage client relationships, providing clear and effective communication on tax-related matters.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, advising clients on their impact.
  • Participate in meetings and strategy sessions related to tax and corporate issues.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a law firm setting with a focus on U.S. federal income tax matters.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Proven track record in handling complex tax-related legal issues and corporate transactions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
