A law firm seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its expanding team in Encino, CA. This role involves managing the firm's workers' compensation files, handling depositions, and playing a key role in opening and managing a new office in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in workers' compensation and possess strong organizational skills to manage cases from start to finish with the support of the firm's staff.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of workers' compensation files from inception to resolution.
  • Handle depositions, prepare legal documents, and represent clients in hearings.
  • Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and updates to clients on their cases.
  • Assist in opening and managing the firm's new Bay Area office.
  • Participate in trial preparation as needed (trial experience is a plus but not required).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience handling workers' compensation cases.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with depositions and case management from inception to resolution.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and opposing counsel.
  • Proficiency in handling depositions and drafting legal documents.
