Job Overview: A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level Labor & Employment (L&E) Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience in the field. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various labor and employment law matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to wage & hour laws, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client communication.
  • Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and litigation proceedings as necessary.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • 4-6 years of experience practicing labor and employment law, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proven track record of taking initiative and demonstrating ownership over work assignments.
  • Experience with wage & hour class action and PAGA matters.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
