Mid-level Patent Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is looking for a Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Intellectual Property practice group. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in patent litigation, including research, drafting discovery responses, requests, and motions. A technical background in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering is highly preferred. Duties:

• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on patent litigation matters.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and file documentation for patent litigation cases.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, offering legal advice and case updates.
• Support pre-trial and trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witnesses.
• Handle day-to-day management of patent litigation cases.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in patent litigation.
• Strong understanding of patent law and litigation practices.
• Proven experience in drafting legal documents such as discovery requests, motions, and responses.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant state(s).

Skills:

• Technical background in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering (preferred).
