Personal Injury Attorney

A law firm seeks an ambitious and experienced personal injury attorney to join its rapidly growing team in downtown Houston. The ideal candidate will have five to six years of experience practicing law, specifically in a plaintiffs' side environment, and will be capable of managing cases independently. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal projects in collaboration with other attorneys and partners while providing exceptional client communication and representation.

Duties:

• Independently manage a caseload from initial filing to resolution.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Work closely with other attorneys and partners on complex legal matters.
• Regularly communicate with clients, providing case updates and legal guidance.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Participate in trial preparation and, if necessary, take cases to trial.

Requirements:

• 5-6 years of experience in personal injury litigation, preferably in a plaintiffs' side law firm.
• Strong academic and litigation background.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a legal team.
• Regularly appear in court and handle depositions confidently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas, in good standing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in litigation procedures, drafting legal documents, and managing cases.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Exceptional client communication and negotiation skills.
