Job Overview:

A law firm seeks an experienced Healthcare Regulatory Attorney to provide legal counsel and ensure compliance for a diverse group of healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute. This position offers an opportunity to advise healthcare providers, specialty practices, and other entities on regulatory matters, compliance, and risk management while collaborating with a multidisciplinary legal team.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive regulatory advice to healthcare providers and specialty practices
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other applicable regulations
  • Advise clients on compliance audits, healthcare transactions, and regulatory investigations
  • Collaborate with attorneys across various practice areas to manage multidisciplinary legal matters
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving healthcare laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Represent clients in interactions with regulatory agencies, including HHS, CMS, and state healthcare bodies

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare regulatory law
  • Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations
  • Proven experience advising healthcare providers on regulatory compliance, risk management, and healthcare transactions
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies such as HHS, CMS, and state-level healthcare agencies
  • Ability to manage compliance audits, investigations, and regulatory reporting
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the relevant state (depending on office location)

Skills:
