Job Overview:

A prominent law firm specializing in healthcare law is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Chattanooga, TN. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside seasoned legal professionals, providing legal guidance on complex healthcare-related matters. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with a keen interest in healthcare law and transactional matters.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to healthcare providers on regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement, and transactional issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate healthcare-related agreements, including professional service, joint venture, and employment contracts.
  • Assist on healthcare M&A deal teams, including due diligence, regulatory review, and document drafting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate compliance and HIPAA programs for healthcare providers.
  • Work with revenue cycle management and other vendors on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Participate in presentations to healthcare organizations on relevant legal topics.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Tennessee Bar or a minimum UBE score of 270+.
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare law.
  • Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Tennessee Bar membership or eligibility to practice in Tennessee via UBE score.

Skills:

  • Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to healthcare transactions.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance issues.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
