Duties

• Represent clients through all stages of litigation, from initiation to expert discovery, particularly in professional liability and labor & employment law matters
• Appear in court for hearings, depositions, and case management conferences
• Conduct in-depth legal research and manage discovery investigations
• Draft discovery requests, motions, pleadings, affidavits, and legal memoranda
• Review discovery responses, and depositions, and prepare litigation updates
• Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing legal analysis and case status updates

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Active bar membership in New York
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on General Liability or Labor & Employment Law
• Strong experience drafting discovery documents, leading depositions, and arguing motions
• Background in General Liability and/or Labor and Employment Law.
• Familiarity with federal and state rules of civil procedure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with LexisNexis

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active New York Bar License
