Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Trial Attorney to join its team in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will have a strong background in first-chair plaintiff personal injury trials, including extensive deposition experience. This is an opportunity to handle high-value cases and work with a dynamic, experienced team.

Location:

  • Austin, TX

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of 30-40 personal injury cases, both commercial and non-commercial.
  • Lead first-chair responsibilities in trial litigation, including depositions and working with expert witnesses.
  • Develop cases, from initial client consultations to demand processes, negotiations, and litigation.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, guiding them throughout the entire legal process.
  • Work on high-value, complex personal injury cases, including those with insurance coverage of $1M or more.
  • Receive mentorship and support from management and senior attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Bar License in good standing.
  • Significant first-chair trial experience in personal injury cases.
  • Extensive deposition experience, including corporate defendants, liability experts, and medical experts.
  • Strong legal research, negotiation, and litigation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for personal injury law and advocacy.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury law, especially trial litigation.
  • Exceptional legal research, negotiation, and case strategy development abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial case load and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with leadership skills.
