Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves managing all aspects of litigation from discovery through trial, providing strategic input, and effectively communicating with clients and other legal professionals. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional legal services while working collaboratively with other attorneys.

Duties:

• Handle discovery tasks, including drafting and responding to requests, conducting depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies.
• Represent clients at court appearances, including trials, status conferences, and hearings.
• Participate in case strategy discussions, offering creative solutions and strategies.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on various litigation matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• 0-3 years of litigation experience.
• Strong proficiency in legal technology, including E-Discovery platforms and programs such as Sharefile, PACER, Lexis, and others.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks under time constraints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with legal software and programs such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, and OneLegal.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
