Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney with experience in patent litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong law firm experience and a technical degree, with an aptitude for handling cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, or engineering. Outstanding academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. The candidate must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in New York.

Duties:

• Manage and litigate complex intellectual property cases, focusing on patent disputes.
• Provide strategic legal analysis and counsel for cases involving technologies in biology, chemistry, physical sciences, or engineering.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed briefs, reports, and other litigation materials.
• Represent clients in court, depositions, and other legal proceedings, presenting arguments and evidence effectively.
• Collaborate with technical experts, clients, and colleagues to develop and execute case strategies.
• Oversee case management tasks such as discovery coordination, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
• Stay updated on relevant IP laws, regulations, and technological advancements.

Requirements:

• Experience in intellectual property litigation, particularly patent matters.
• Law firm experience preferred.
• Technical degree in biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated success in patent litigation.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in New York.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Technical degree (e.g., in biology, chemistry, engineering) preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law and in good standing in New York (or eligibility to transfer or become admitted).
