A law firm seeks a dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. Duties

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, advocating for their rights in court.
• Conduct trial depositions, including medical and fact-witness depositions.
• Draft compelling and targeted legal briefs to support motions and arguments.
• Handle hearings and manage testimony during legal proceedings.
• Travel as needed for depositions, court appearances, and client meetings.
• Review and analyze medical records and other relevant case documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective litigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bar Membership: Must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong preference for workers' compensation law experience (plaintiff or defense).
• Legal Skills: Demonstrated ability to successfully litigate cases, draft persuasive legal documents, and perform thorough legal research.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with legal management software (e.g., Needles, Litify) is a plus.
• Relocation: Ability to relocate to Philadelphia, PA, prior to starting work if not already local.

Education

• Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar.
