  • Oversee workers' compensation cases from inception through to resolution, including trial and appeal stages when applicable.
  • Conduct depositions, gather essential evidence, and engage in negotiations to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals, as well as contracts and other necessary legal paperwork.
  • Represent clients before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission, defending and advancing client interests.

Requirements:

  • Must hold an active Illinois Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience handling workers' compensation claims in Illinois.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Illinois Bar admission and current standing are required.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and legal writing skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to manage a fair caseload efficiently.
