Professional Liability Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Professional Liability Associate Attorney to join its office in Atlanta, GA. Duties

• Represent licensed professionals in complex liability cases, including litigation and claims defense.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Provide strategic legal counsel and advice to clients regarding risk management and professional conduct.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure effective case management.
• Manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work standards.
• Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and strategic advice.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in professional liability laws and legal trends.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 4 years of experience in professional liability or related legal practice.
• License: Active Bar membership in Georgia.
• Litigation Skills: Proven experience in litigation, especially related to professional liability defense.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to clients.
• Client-focused: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail in legal research and document preparation.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in Georgia.
