Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is looking for an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to represent clients in consumer and business bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate should be proficient in handling Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies, with strong conflict resolution skills, excellent time management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to handle a high-volume caseload and work with a supportive team. The role involves both virtual and in-person client meetings, attending court hearings, and utilizing case management software to efficiently manage files.

Location:

Duties:

  • Prepare and file documentation for bankruptcy filings in accordance with established procedures and rules.
  • Communicate legal details clearly and effectively to clients.
  • Research and update case files with relevant information.
  • Respond to clients professionally via email, text, and phone calls.
  • Docket hearings and resolutions for bankruptcy cases.
  • Draft and file responses using ECF (Electronic Case Filing) as needed.
  • Attend virtual and in-person client meetings to gather information, confirm eligibility, and provide legal counsel.
  • Adapt quickly to case management software and maintain accurate digital records.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state.
  • Experience with Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies (entry-level or experienced applicants will be considered).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Proficient with technology, particularly case management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the relevant state.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies.
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a high caseload.
