A law firm in Seattle, WA, seeks a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Advertising, Marketing, and Promotions Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge in advertising law, consumer protection, and marketing transactions. Duties and Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate agreements related to ad agencies, influencers, celebrity endorsements, sponsorships, online media buying, and other marketing and promotional activities.
• Review advertising copy to ensure compliance with regulations and to address issues related to false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and right of publicity.
• Provide counsel on compliance matters for contests and sweepstakes, price advertising, recurring subscription programs, and loyalty/rewards programs.
• Offer advice and representation concerning false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division disputes.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients to provide strategic legal advice and solutions.
• Stay current with developments in advertising law and marketing regulations to ensure clients receive up-to-date guidance.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience in advertising, marketing, and promotions law.
• Substantive experience in drafting and negotiating various marketing-related agreements.
• Experience with compliance issues related to contests, sweepstakes, price advertising, and subscription programs.
• Proven track record in handling disputes about false advertising and unfair competition.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent academic credentials with outstanding legal writing and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Bar in Washington or the ability to obtain admission upon hiring.
