Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to provide legal representation and counsel in immigration matters. This role involves advocating for clients before USCIS and the Executive Office of Immigration Review, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with evolving immigration laws. The ideal candidate will have litigation or immigration experience and strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills.

Duties

  • Represent clients in immigration proceedings, including in-person and virtual appearances before the Immigration Court.
  • Provide legal guidance on a variety of immigration-related matters.
  • Research and interpret immigration laws and regulations to support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and review documents related to both immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications.
  • Manage incoming legal documentation and ensure timely processing.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation or immigration law.
  • Strong legal writing, organizational, and research skills (a writing sample may be requested).
  • Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
