Job Overview: A dynamic law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in estate planning and trust administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in high-net-worth estate planning, tax strategies, wealth preservation, charitable giving, and business succession planning. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive legal solutions to high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and corporate trust departments, ensuring that clients receive tailored and strategic legal counsel.

Duties:

  • Draft estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, and Living Wills.
  • Manage estate and trust administration cases, including court appearances in Surrogate’s Court.
  • Assist with high net-worth tax planning strategies, wealth preservation, estate, and gift tax analyses, charitable giving frameworks, and business succession planning.
  • Collaborate with other legal practice areas to provide clients with integrated legal solutions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare relevant legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 2-4 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in New York State is required.

Skills:
