Civil/Commercial Litigation Attorney

Duties:

• Manage and represent clients in civil and commercial litigation matters.

• Handle a wide range of business disputes including partnership disagreements, shareholder issues, licensing, and sales of merchandise.

• Conduct depositions, interview witnesses, review documents, and draft briefs.

• Lead a team of associates and provide mentorship and guidance.

• Collaborate with clients, court staff, adversaries, and witnesses in a professional manner.

• Develop and execute litigation strategies, including settlement negotiations and trial preparation.

• Maintain a client-focused approach with an emphasis on delivering innovative legal solutions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law in New York.

• 5+ years of experience in civil and commercial litigation.

• Heavy trial experience and a high level of sophistication in litigation matters.

• Proven ability to build rapport with clients and manage relationships.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments and with various business professionals.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
