Insurance Associate Attorney

A law firm in Gulfport, MS, is seeking an Insurance Associate Attorney with a strong background in insurance law and litigation. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, demonstrated legal abilities, and experience in the insurance field. This role requires superior writing and research skills, with a proven ability to manage complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support and expertise in insurance-related matters, including coverage disputes, policy interpretation, and claims handling.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and discovery requests.
• Advise clients on insurance coverage issues and assist with litigation strategies.
• Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies and manage case progress.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance law and regulations.
• Ensure all legal documents and procedures comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic credentials, with a preference for candidates in the top 25% of their class.
• 3+ years of experience in insurance law and/or litigation.
• Strong writing and research skills.
