Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Waco, TX is seeking an experienced and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join its team. In this role, you will handle a diverse caseload with a focus on personal injury law, advocating for clients whose lives have been disrupted by injury. Duties:

• Represent clients in personal injury litigation, handling all phases of case preparation and trial, including motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their stories, concerns, and the impacts of their injuries on their lives.
• Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and clients receive exemplary service.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, striving to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
• Maintain excellent client communication, keeping clients informed and supported throughout the legal process.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and other necessary filings.
• Represent clients in negotiations and at trial, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Texas State Bar certification.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal injury law, with a strong track record in litigation.
• Proven trial experience, with at least ten (10) personal injury cases involving substantial involvement.
• Experience with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, and trials.
• Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Texas Bar Certification.
• Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (preferred).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent client relations and the ability to provide compassionate legal guidance.
• High-level negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Organizational and project management skills to handle a busy caseload.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
• Trial experience and strong courtroom presence.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
