Duties:

  • Manage multi-party litigation related to construction defect matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Handle discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of critical witnesses.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and evidentiary hearings.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on litigation strategies and risk management.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external experts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of litigation experience, focusing on construction law preferred.
  • Proven track record in handling complex construction litigation matters independently.
  • Strong oratory, research, and writing skills.
  • Significant courtroom or arbitration experience, including trial or evidentiary hearing experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance risk transfer issues for property damage claims.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
  • Board Certification in Construction Law by the Florida Bar preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
