Job Title: Consular Processing Immigration Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Associate Consular Processing Immigration Attorney to join their growing immigration team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team of legal professionals while gaining valuable experience in consular processing, waiver cases, and immigration law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law, particularly consular processing, and will be passionate about serving clients' needs with a high level of professionalism and efficiency.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of consular processing (CP) and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-212, I-601, consular processing, and K-Visa applications.
  • Prepare clients for their consulate interviews and guide them through the consular process.
  • Represent clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Review immigration applications and related documentation prepared by the legal team.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of paralegals to ensure timely case progression and client satisfaction.
  • Provide legal analysis to assess potential benefits or complications in immigration cases.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on consular processing and waiver applications.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active and good standing membership with a CA State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, particularly consular processing and waivers.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing teams and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in case management software and legal documentation processes.
