Duties

• Represent venture capital and growth equity fund sponsors in private fund formation and regulatory matters

• Advise a wide range of clients, from emerging managers to established firms with multi-billion-dollar AUM

• Manage and coordinate fund-side legal matters related to capital raising and deployment

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys who focus on cutting-edge issues in the innovation economy

• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice across the full lifecycle of private funds

Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant legal experience in private fund formation and investment management

• Demonstrated experience advising venture capital or growth equity fund clients

• Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school

• Licensed and in good standing with the state bar in the jurisdiction of intended practice

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership in the bar of the relevant U.S. jurisdiction

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a $10,000 bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
