A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for its San Diego, CA office.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception to completion, providing analysis and advice to clients, drafting court pleadings, handling discovery, attending court hearings, and other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate, previous experience in litigation, real estate, and/or mortgage law preferred, and admission to practice law in the state of Hawaii. Excellent communication skills, proficiency in software tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet, and the ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads are essential.

Duties:

  • Manage cases from inception to completion
  • Prepare analysis of the case and advise the client regarding strategies
  • Draft court pleadings
  • Handle discovery, including filing and defense of motions
  • Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in-person
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate
  • Previous experience in litigation, real estate, and mortgage law preferred
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Hawaii
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interpret client systems
  • Proficiency in software tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet
  • Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads
