Associate Attorney needed for Charlotte office

Job Overview: A law firm in Charlotte, NC, seeks a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join their General Liability/Workers' Compensation department. The successful candidate will be responsible for file review, analysis, extensive legal research, client representation, and trial preparation. Job Details:

• File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
• Extensive legal research and drafting of client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Regularly representing clients in court, at arbitrations, depositions, and hearings
• Drafting and responding to discovery requests
• Expert witness retention and collaboration
• Trial preparation and attendance
• Some travel may be required

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in general liability; experience in other practice areas a plus.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice in NC and SC; admission in other States is a plus.
