Duties:

  • Handle and manage complex copyright litigation cases, including those involving technology and digital platforms.

  • Represent clients in court, hearings, depositions, and settlement discussions.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on copyright issues, particularly related to technology and emerging digital platforms.
  • Advise clients on copyright matters and provide strategic legal counsel throughout litigation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and manage high-profile cases.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates and responding to legal inquiries.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of law firm experience in copyright litigation and intellectual property matters.
  • Strong understanding of technology and its intersection with copyright law.
  • Technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science) preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience in managing litigation from pre-trial through resolution.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle a high volume of cases.
  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction where the attorney practices (Massachusetts preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Massachusetts State Bar (or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts).
  • Additional bar memberships in other jurisdictions are a plus.
