A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Finance Associate to join its Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in representing both borrowers and lenders in a variety of finance transactions. This position focuses on reserve-based lending, syndicated credit facilities, acquisition financings, and project financings. Duties:

  • Advise clients on a range of finance transactions, including reserve-based lending, secured and unsecured syndicated credit facilities, and project and acquisition financings.
  • Draft and review key documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and related financing documents.
  • Lead negotiations with counterparties, including financial institutions and corporate borrowers.
  • Conduct due diligence and provide strategic advice on financing structures, risk mitigation, and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop solutions for clients in high-stakes lending transactions.
  • Mentor and guide junior associates and support staff.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and legal developments in finance law.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and timely delivery of legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in finance law, with a focus on lending transactions, including reserve-based lending and syndicated credit facilities.
  • Proven experience in representing both borrowers and lenders in complex financing transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently while collaborating with senior attorneys.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on effective client communication.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality legal work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials with a focus on corporate finance law.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas or eligible to take the Texas Bar Exam.

Skills:

  • Expertise in finance law, including experience with secured and unsecured lending, project finance, and acquisition financings.
  • Proficient in legal research, drafting, and negotiations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
