Insurance Coverage Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its dynamic insurance coverage team. Duties:

• Analyze and assess insurance coverage issues and provide well-reasoned coverage opinions.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery requests for insurance coverage litigation.
• Represent clients in various stages of litigation, including taking and defending depositions and attending court conferences.
• Argue motions and represent clients in hearings related to insurance coverage matters.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop strategic approaches to litigation.
• Contribute to business development and firm initiatives to enhance client relationships and growth.
• Participate in mentorship programs and foster professional development in the firm.

Requirements:

• Minimum of four years of experience in insurance coverage law with a focus on litigation.
• Proficiency in analyzing complex coverage issues and drafting legal documents related to coverage disputes.
• Experience in deposition preparation and conducting hearings is beneficial but not required.
• Must be admitted and in good standing in Illinois; admission in Indiana is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Illinois State Bar (required).
• Additional state bar admissions are a plus.
