Associate Attorney Litigation

Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney with at least two years of litigation experience to join the team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in legal research, writing, and litigation management, from case inception through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative legal team, working on diverse litigation cases while managing a personal caseload.

Duties:

• Manage litigation cases from start to finish, including case strategy and resolution
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and other filings
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and attend court appearances
• Perform legal research and analysis to support case preparation
• Assist in trial preparation and provide support to senior attorneys during trial
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Vermont Bar (Required)
• Admission to the New York Bar (Preferred but not required)
• Minimum of two years of litigation experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to Vermont Bar (Required)
• Admission to New York Bar (Preferred but not required)
