Job Overview: A highly respected law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with experience in workers' compensation to join their growing practice. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely or be based in one of the firm’s Pennsylvania offices. The role involves managing workers' compensation claims, representing clients in hearings, and preparing cases for trial, with a focus on delivering high-quality legal services.

Duties:

  • Review and analyze workers' compensation claims and cases.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery materials, and appellate briefs.
  • Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
  • Represent clients in depositions and hearings before the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Board.
  • Prepare for trials, including coordinating expert witnesses and evaluating their testimony.
  • Provide ongoing legal analysis and communication with clients regarding case progress and developments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on workers' compensation preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania (licenses in additional states are a plus but not required).
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prompt responsiveness to client and colleague communications.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
