A law firm seeks a motivated and innovative Associate Attorney to join its growing team specializing in intellectual property (IP) and business law. This remote role offers an exciting opportunity to work with entrepreneurs, startups, and established businesses on a wide range of IP matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and business growth strategies. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial-minded, with 2-5+ years of experience in IP and business law, ready to grow alongside a dynamic team and provide cutting-edge legal solutions.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in trademark, copyright, and intellectual property matters, including registrations, infringement disputes, and enforcement.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, including entrepreneurs and businesses, on contracts, entity formation, and business development.
  • Manage diverse client portfolios, particularly in the entertainment, media, and creative industries.
  • Collaborate with team members on litigation cases, contributing to innovative solutions and delivering high-quality written and oral advocacy.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust, transparency, and results.
  • Offer advice and guidance to clients on business growth strategies and legal protections for their intellectual property assets.

Requirements:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in intellectual property, business law, or a related field.
  • Proficient in managing trademark and copyright portfolios, drafting contracts, and resolving business disputes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong desire to help clients grow and protect their brands.
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable, with a passion for working in a forward-thinking legal environment.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow professionally, and make an impact on both clients and the firm.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in a state bar, with a preference for those admitted in multiple states, particularly California, Texas, Florida, Indiana, or Nevada.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar is required.

  • Experience in managing IP portfolios, including trademark and copyright registrations and enforcement.
