Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group, focusing on energy transition financing matters. This role offers the opportunity to work on internationally recognized transactions, including novel financing deals in the energy transition sector. The position is available in multiple U.S. office locations.

Location

Duties

  • Handle complex transactions involving the financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.
  • Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for project financing and development.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on financial matters related to energy transition projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and teams across multiple offices on high-profile energy transition financing deals.
  • Lead and support innovative financing deals within the renewable energy space.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Proven experience with tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction of the office where the candidate is applying.
