Location:

Duties:

  • Explain complex immigration concepts and provide strategic legal solutions.
  • Represent both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Manage and organize a caseload of diverse immigration matters, including family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, and detained cases.
  • Conduct client intakes at immigration detention centers.
  • Prepare, file, and review immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Ensure all immigration application packets are accurate and compliant with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients and develop tailored case strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS interviews.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a wide variety of immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on removal defense, family-based petitions, and other USCIS applications.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with fellow attorneys and legal assistants.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to advance legal cases and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Case Management Software is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar Admission in any state.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and develop strategic solutions for clients.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
