A law firm in Burbank, CA, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to manage a docket of Pre-Litigation cases to resolution. The ideal candidate will report directly to an assigned Partner and will be supported by a team of paralegals both substantively and administratively. This role requires a positive attitude, exemplary leadership, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a docket of Pre-Litigation cases to resolution.
  • Report directly to an assigned Partner.
  • Provide substantive and administrative support to a team of paralegals.
  • Offer guidance to non-attorneys as needed.
  • Lead non-attorneys by example and contribute positively to the workplace.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and settlements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and manage client relationships effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Should have experience in Pre-Litigation or related legal field.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of cases.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership and guidance to non-attorney staff.
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
