Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from inception to conclusion.
  • Evaluate potential claims, provide legal advice, and represent clients in personal injury matters.
  • Negotiate and litigate on behalf of clients to obtain fair compensation for their losses.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, conduct comprehensive legal research and collect relevant evidence.
  • Maintain up-to-date case files and manage case support teams.
  • Negotiate settlement agreements, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team and ensure timely resolution of cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in personal injury, wrongful death, Jones Act, and/or FELA litigation.
  • First or second-chair jury trial experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law, tort law, medical terminology, and civil litigation processes.
  • Exceptional legal research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex, high-value cases independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and/or Missouri (required).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in personal injury law, wrongful death, and civil litigation.
  • Expertise in managing and organizing case files and documentation.
  • Strong negotiation and trial advocacy skills.
  • Superb drafting and legal research capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred but not required).
