A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney based in Connecticut to manage and litigate cases primarily in the realm of creditor's rights. Duties

  • Represent clients in daily court appearances, including conferences, motions, and other proceedings, both in-person and virtual.
  • Manage a caseload involving litigated and non-litigated matters.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies tailored to individual cases.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery documents, settlement agreements, and other legal materials.
  • Collaborate with firm management and clients to resolve cases effectively and positively.
  • Work closely with paralegals and support staff to prepare legal documents and respond to demands.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in and good standing with the Connecticut State Bar.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to establish trust with clients and build professional relationships.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for court appearances and case-related matters.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in litigation or creditor's rights law.
  • Additional bar admissions in jurisdictions such as New York, New Jersey, or Massachusetts.
  • Prior trial experience is advantageous but not required.
