Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Duties:

  • Represent clients throughout all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested foreclosures.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of loan documents, financials, demand letters, and conditions precedent to filing.
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence to initiate and maintain foreclosure actions.
  • Perform legal research and analyze applicable statutes, case law, and regulatory requirements.
  • Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel professionally.
  • Review and update internal client systems with findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections laws.
  • Exercise confidentiality and professionalism in all dealings.
  • Prioritize and manage a high-volume caseload to meet deadlines for clients, investors, and courts.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Delaware State Bar (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and legal writing abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of work.
  • Experience with foreclosure and litigation is preferred, but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Delaware is required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general office software.
  • Experience with electronic case management and client systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
