Job Overview
A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a dedicated Civil Rights Litigation Attorney to advocate for individuals whose rights have been violated. Duties
Conduct thorough legal research to evaluate potential civil rights cases.
Manage litigation from case initiation through resolution, including drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and preparing legal motions.
Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.
Work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, including incarcerated individuals.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop effective case strategies.
Requirements
Active license to practice law.
2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil rights, constitutional law, or trial advocacy.
Strong legal research and writing skills, particularly in complex motions and case law analysis.
Experience conducting depositions, appearing in court, and handling appeals.
Commitment to civil rights advocacy and legal precedent development.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to CA State Bar and in good standing.
