Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and prepare necessary legal documents for post-conviction relief cases.
  • Handle post-conviction relief matters, including motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce charges, and early termination of probation.
  • Attend motion hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice after each hearing.
  • Manage criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencing on behalf of the firm's criminal attorneys.
  • Perform legal research, draft motions, and analyze probable outcomes using legal precedents.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants to provide the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Provide legal analysis and counsel to clients, explaining potential case benefits and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Experience in criminal defense or immigration law.
  • Experience handling criminal cases at the state and local levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with fellow attorneys and legal staff.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
