Job Overview: A prominent law firm based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking a dedicated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to grow within the field of immigration law, focusing on both removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.

Duties:

• Advise clients on immigration law, provide strategic solutions, and explain complex legal concepts.
• Represent clients in immigration court, including removal proceedings for both detained and non-detained individuals.
• Manage an active caseload, including conducting client intakes and preparing legal documentation.
• Visit detention centers to meet with detained clients and conduct case intakes.
• Prepare and submit diverse immigration applications such as family-based petitions and removal defense.
• Review and revise immigration applications and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to address changes in immigration law.
• Meet with prospective clients, providing consultations and developing legal strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony, ensuring they are fully informed.
• Draft and submit legal briefs to support immigration cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar admission or pending admission (candidates awaiting bar results are also encouraged to apply).
• Proven interest in immigration law, demonstrated through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships.
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client advocacy.
• Experience with case management software is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission (or pending) in the state of California.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
