Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced finance attorney to join its Finance & Restructuring group in Dallas, TX. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled attorney with at least six years of corporate finance experience, specializing in workout, bankruptcy, insolvency, and corporate finance transactions, including senior debt, asset-based lending, cash flow, sponsor finance, unitranche, and mezzanine transactions. The position offers the chance to work on complex matters in a dynamic legal environment.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Handle a wide variety of corporate finance transactions, including senior debt, asset-based lending, and sponsor finance
  • Work on restructuring and insolvency matters, such as workouts and bankruptcies
  • Negotiate and draft loan documents, contracts, and other legal agreements
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients on financial and restructuring matters
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of legal documents and filings
  • Collaborate with other team members and clients to meet deadlines and ensure client satisfaction
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct legal research and provide written and oral legal analyses

Requirements:

  • At least six years of experience in corporate finance or restructuring law
  • Admission to the Texas Bar
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial transactions and restructuring matters
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong academic credentials

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Texas Bar Admission

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in corporate finance and restructuring
  • Excellent negotiation and drafting skills
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
