Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney for its Nashville office.

Job Overview:

• The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for overall case management, including drafting motions, handling discovery requests, taking depositions, and participating in court proceedings.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent legal research and writing skills are required, along with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with the firm's existing client base.
• Bar admission in Tennessee is required, and experience in drafting coverage opinions and litigating insurance coverage and bad faith cases is preferred.
• The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in either property coverage or insurance litigation.

Duties:

• Overall case management, including drafting motions, handling discovery requests, taking depositions, and participating in court proceedings.
• Conducting legal research and writing.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the firm's existing client base.
• Drafting coverage opinions and litigating insurance coverage and bad faith cases.

Requirements:

• Bar admission in Tennessee.
• 2-4 years of experience in either property coverage or insurance litigation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent research and presentation skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Bar admission in Tennessee.
