Duties

• Manage own caseload with oversight from senior partners.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and write memoranda.
• Attend hearings and court conferences.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Attend inspections and mediations.
• Consult with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and participate in trials.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in professional liability or insurance defense.
• Must be admitted to practice law in New York (Connecticut admission is a plus but not required).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases while working collaboratively with a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• New York Bar License (Required).
• Connecticut Bar License (preferred but not required).
