Duties

  • Represent clients in complex fiduciary and private wealth litigation cases, including disputes involving trusts, decedents' estates, conservatorships, and adult guardianships.
  • Develop and implement case strategies and manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients, addressing their concerns and guiding them through litigation.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision.
  • Engage in frequent and direct communication with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the litigation process.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and participate in case preparation, including discovery and trial preparation.
  • Assist in business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the niche area of private wealth and fiduciary litigation.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Strong background in trusts and estates litigation or exposure to issues involving trusts, decedents' estates, and conservatorships or adult guardianships.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • Strong academic record from a top-tier law school.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California Bar.

  • Proven ability to handle heavy trial practices and manage complex litigation cases.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
