Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a team-oriented Associate Attorney to join their Intellectual Property group in Indianapolis, IN. This role requires experience in data privacy, corporate transactions, and biotechnology, with a general background in intellectual property. The position involves drafting and negotiating complex IP and IT agreements, including those related to data privacy, artificial intelligence, and managed services.

Location:

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate a variety of intellectual property and information technology agreements, such as license agreements, outsourcing agreements, managed services agreements, and data privacy agreements.
  • Work on corporate transactions involving intellectual property and technology assets.
  • Provide legal counsel on data privacy and data protection issues, including compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients on matters related to biotechnology and other specialized IP areas.
  • Advise on agreements related to artificial intelligence, AdTech, and professional services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intellectual property law, with exposure to data privacy and corporate transactions.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex IP and IT agreements.
  • Experience with biotechnology-related IP issues preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic approach to IP transactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Indiana Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in intellectual property law and related corporate transactions.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and information technology agreements.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
