Duties:

  • Handle a variety of complex litigation cases, including commercial disputes, class actions, mass torts, and product liability.
  • Prepare for, take, and defend depositions effectively.
  • Draft and argue dispositive, expert, and discovery motions in state and federal courts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strategize and execute litigation plans.
  • Provide sound legal counsel to corporate clients on litigation matters.
  • Work on appellate briefs and motions as needed.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
  • Support general corporate and transactional matters as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and/or complex litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
  • Proficient in legal research, written advocacy, and oral presentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in expanding practice areas beyond litigation is a plus.
  • Admission to the West Virginia Bar is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar admission in good standing. West Virginia Bar membership is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using litigation software and legal research tools.
